Editorial Standards
Accuracy, fairness, and independence are the foundations of our journalism. These standards apply to every piece of content we publish.
Accuracy
All factual claims must be verified before publication. Statistical claims require a cited source. Direct quotes must be accurately attributed. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.
Corrections
When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with a clear description of what was changed and when. To report an error: [email protected]
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made independently of commercial interests. Advertising and sponsored content are clearly labelled. Journalists do not participate in sales conversations.
Sources
We protect confidential sources. We prefer on-the-record attribution but will grant anonymity when the public interest justifies it and the source's information can be independently corroborated.
Conflicts of Interest
Journalists must disclose any financial interest in companies or sectors they cover. Where a conflict exists, the story is reassigned or the conflict is disclosed to readers.
