Freelance Writers
We commission freelance journalists and subject-matter experts for reported features, analysis, opinion columns, and guides. We pay competitive rates.
What we look for:
- Original reporting with primary sources
- Data-driven analysis, not commentary dressed as news
- Clear, authoritative writing in the style of the Financial Times or The Economist
- Deep expertise in a specific domain (markets, AI, property, policy, health, science, sport)

Opinion & Commentary
We publish opinion columns from named contributors with genuine expertise. Opinion pieces are clearly labelled and distinguished from news reporting.
Requirements:
- 800–1,500 words
- A clear, defensible argument supported by evidence
- Written by someone with demonstrated expertise or direct experience in the subject
- Original work, not published elsewhere
